Sharjah Chamber is looking to enhance the competitiveness of the private sector
Sharjah, October 14 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry reviewed the Chamber’s overall performance and its specific initiatives that aim to enhance the competitiveness of the private sector and support the sustainability of its growth.
During its regular meeting, chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and in the presence of Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, First Vice President of the Chamber, His Excellency Walid Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Vice President of the Chamber, members of the Board of Directors, His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director General of the Chamber, and a number of officials of departments affiliated with the Chamber, and a number of officials from departments affiliated with the Chamber, the Council discussed the implementation of the Chamber’s operational plan and what was accomplished during the last period of the current year, highlighting the package of qualitative initiatives that were implemented, which.
The meeting also reviewed the Chamber’s extensive efforts to promote the private sector on the local and international arenas through active participation in major economic exhibitions and forums, in addition to organizing and receiving multiple trade missions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors said that the Sharjah Chamber proceeds from the sound directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and continues its path to a continuous transition to a proactive and ambitious phase aimed at creating the economic future of the emirate.
The meeting discussed the future plans of the Chamber and its role in nurturing the local business system, with a special focus on supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises as a vital engine for innovation and economic diversification.
