Pakistan and Afghanistan agree to a 48-hour ceasefire

Pakistanand Afghanistan have agreed to a 48-hour ceasefire, starting at 1 p.m. GMT, according to what the Pakistani Foreign Ministry reported, after violent confrontations across the border in recent days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: "The Pakistani government and the Afghan Taliban regime decided on a temporary ceasefire within the next 48 hours".
And in Kabul, the Taliban government said it had ordered its army to respect the ceasefire with Pakistan, an official spokesman said.
