America is preparing to impose tariffs on China because of Russian oil

US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent announced that his country is preparing to impose duties on Chinabecause of its purchases of Russian oil, noting that Washington is working to organize a meeting between US President Donald Trumpand his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, are in South Korea to discuss trade disputes.

Besant stressed his optimism in the results of the talks, criticizing at the same time the industrial world’s dependence on China.

Beijing had expanded restrictions on the export of rare earths, which prompted Washington to respond with new trade measures.
