Israel launches a series of raids on southern Lebanon

 On Thursday evening, the Israeli occupation army launched 12 raids on towns in southern and eastern Lebanon, in a remarkable escalation of violations of the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah.

These raids included the districts of Nabatieh, Sidon, Marjayoun, Bint Jbeil (south), and Baalbek (east), according to the news agency.

 

In the Nabatieh district, Israeli fighters launched a raid on an area between the towns of Rumine and Houmin.

The Lebanese agency did not mention details regarding the objectives of those raids and whether they resulted in casualties or not.

 

For its part, the Israeli occupation army claimed, through a statement, that “I raided Hezbollah’s underground terrorist infrastructure, which was used to store combat weapons in the Bekaa (eastern) and southern Lebanon regions,” as he put it.

 

Last Saturday, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun warned that there were those in Israel thinking (without naming) of transferring Gaza’s fire to Lebanon in light of "His need to sustain political livelihood through fire and killing."
