Dubai International Chamber opens its first representative office in Eastern Europe in Poland

Dubai, October 19 / WAM / Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, opened its first representative office in Eastern Europe in the Polish capital, Warsaw, in a step that reflects the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening joint economic relations and exploring trade and investment opportunities between Dubai and Poland.
According to a press release issued today, the office was opened in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, and His Excellency Michael Jarosz, Minister of State in the Polish Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, and with the participation of officials and businessmen.
The new office represents a new step towards achieving the goals of the “Dubai Global” initiative, which aims to launch 50 international representative offices of the Chamber by 2030, enhance Dubai’s role as a leading global business center, attract foreign direct investment to the emirate, and support the expansion of the emirate’s companies in 30 priority markets around the world.
His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, said that the new representative office in Warsaw represents an important milestone towards strengthening economic partnerships between Dubai and Poland and supporting the expansion of bilateral relations. It will contribute to developing ties between business communities and stimulating bilateral investment and trade flows, stressing the Chambers’ commitment to supporting Polish companies in expanding their global presence by taking advantage of Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global business centre.
The opening of the office comes at a time when trade and economic relations between Poland and Dubai are witnessing remarkable growth, as the value of non-oil trade between the two sides during the past year exceeded 7.2 billion dirhams, with a growth of 5% on an annual basis.
By the end of the first half of this year, the number of active Polish companies registered as members of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce reached 453 companies, including 86 new companies that joined the Chamber’s membership during the first six months of the year, which reflects the strength of economic relations between the two sides and the growing interest of the Polish business community in Dubai’s potential and opportunities.
The new representative office will play a vital role in supporting companies in both Dubai and Poland, and work closely with the Polish business community, to strengthen relations with key stakeholders in the public and private sectors, as well as promoting Dubai’s competitive advantages as a global business destination. At the same time, it will also provide valuable information about the Dubai market and support Polish companies seeking to establish their presence in the emirate and expand.
