The UAE participates in the work of the Technical Committee of the Council of Arab Housing Ministers in Cairo

Cairo, October 19 / WAM / The UAE is participating in the 71st meeting of the Technical Scientific Advisory Committee of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Construction, which began its work today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and will continue for three days, in preparation for the meeting of the Executive Office of the Council scheduled to be held next Wednesday.
The state is represented at the meeting by Engineer Sultan Muhammad Al-Ariani, Director of the Housing Requests Department of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
The meeting will discuss a number of pivotal files, most notably the rehabilitation of cities affected by conflicts, the Arab lands under Israeli occupation, and confronting the effects of natural disasters, in addition to preparing for the upcoming Arab Housing Conference and the Arab Ministerial Forum for Housing and Urban Development.
The meeting also addresses ways to enhance cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, and develop a unified Arab database for the housing sector.
