EXEED redefines battery safety with the first live fire test in the East

EXEED conducted the first live test to verify the safety of batteries in the Middle East, through which it redefined safety standards in the world of electric cars.
This historic test was held at the Emirates Motorplex Circuit in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain, to embody EXEED’s commitment to pioneering innovation that transforms the concept of "Battery safety" From just a promise to a proven and proven reality.
At 4:30 p.m., in front of the media, customers and representatives of international bodies, the EXEED RX PHEV equipped with a self-insulating CATL NP intelligent battery underwent an extreme temperature test that lasted for 70 seconds. During the experiment, the battery survived without igniting or exploding, successfully meeting international safety standards, including the Chinese standard GB-38031.
Ms. Lilian Xiong, Vice President of EXEED International, said: "Battery safety is not an option, it is the basis of confidence in the world of new energy mobility. Through this public testing, we want consumers in the Middle East to see, feel and believe that EXEED technologies are truly safe.".
*Intelligent protection at every step from start to finish*
The smart battery benefits from self-insulating CATL NP technology, which prevents heat from spreading even if a cell overheats. Thanks to an advanced thermal management system, the battery maintains stable performance in extreme heat, cold, humidity, or altitude.
The cloud battery management system (BMS) also allows for real-time monitoring of voltage, temperature, and current, providing early warnings in the event of risks such as overcharging, excessive discharge, or high the heat. From manufacturer to user, the battery remains under continuous intelligent monitoring, while long-life CATL technology minimizes battery degradation and maintains vehicle value over the long term.
*Precision engineering for maximum protection*
The battery body features a 3D frame made of high-grade aluminum alloy Rigidity, with 3mm thick reinforcement in critical areas. Compressive simulation showed that the displacement reached only 2.6 mm under a pressure of 100 kN, confirming its exceptional resistance to deformation.
The bottom of the battery is also composed of multiple layers including PVC protection, high-strength steel, MPP cushion, and aluminum alloy, to provide an integrated shield. Protects the cells from external shocks and scratches.
*Integration into the vehicle gives real confidence on the road*
EXEED’s safety system exceeds national requirements, as it includes reinforced lower struts, a high-strength steel structure, and technologies to distribute impact energy from tracks Multiple protections for the battery during accidents.
In Pole Impact tests, the instant disconnect switch cut off the current within 2 milliseconds, much faster than industry averages. With IPX8 connectors, IP68 waterproofing, and 450mm wading capability, the EXEED RX PHEV is ready to take on the toughest weather and off-road conditions.
*Raising industry standards*
Ms. Maesa Zhang said, General Manager of Exceed Middle East: "This event represents not only a technical achievement, but a message to the entire automotive sector. Safety must be transparent, measurable, and field-proven. Today’s test in the UAE is clear evidence that Exceed is delivering on its promise, and we will continue to conduct more such tests throughout the Middle East."
By integrating control systems, electrochemistry, thermodynamics, mechanics, and electrical engineering into an integrated safety system, Exceed not only protects drivers, but also sets a new standard for the future of electric mobility in the region.
Using this tough test, Exceed turns the concept of safety into a reality that can be verified and trusted, ensuring that every trip is safe, stable and worry-free.
