The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 68,234 martyrs.
Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced today, Wednesday, that the toll of the Israeli occupation aggression against the Gaza Strip had risen to 68,234 martyrs and 170,373 injured since October 7, 2023.
The sources explained, according to what the Palestinian news agency “Wafa” reported, that 5 were martyrs. “1 of them were the result of direct targeting by the occupation forces, and 4 of their bodies were recovered”in addition to 4 injuries they arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, and a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, where ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to recover them until now. She said that since the ceasefire on October 11, 88 citizens were martyred and 315 others were injured, while the specialized crews were able to recover the bodies of 436 martyrs from under the rubble.
She confirmed that today 30 bodies of martyrs who were detained by the occupation were received, and this was done through the mediation of the Red Cross, bringing the total number of bodies received to 195 A martyr.
The medical sources stressed that they will continue to deal with the bodies in accordance with the approved medical procedures and protocols, in preparation for completing the examination, documentation, and handing over to the families.
They pointed out that some of the bodies show signs of abuse, beatings, handcuffing, and blindfolding, noting that the identity of 57 martyrs has been identified so far. Their families.
