The Executive Management of the Bahrain Development Bank celebrates Tree Week

The Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), the leading bank in supporting small and medium enterprises in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the participation of the executive management team in the Tree Week activities by planting a group of trees in the Horat Aali Farmers’ Market Garden. This is in line with the goals of the Kingdom of Bahrain to intensify and increase the green area to 3.6 million trees throughout the Kingdom by the year 2035, which embodies the keenness and interest in preserving the environment and achieving carbon neutrality by the year 2060.
This comes within the framework of Bahrain Development Bank’s commitment to social responsibility, and its keenness to adopt green initiatives in support of the National Action Plan initiatives announced by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to adopt the third week of October annually to celebrate Tree Week, which It comes to enhance the afforestation plan aimed at doubling the number of trees in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
