"Purehealth" Celebrates the graduation of 146 national competencies from the programme "Emirates Development Centre"

ABU DHABI, 24th October, 2018 (WAM) – PureHealth Group, the largest healthcare group in the Middle East, celebrated the graduation of 146 male and female citizens from the third batch of the “Emirates Development Center” Leaders Programme, in a new achievement that reflects the group’s commitment to promoting Emiratisation and empowering national competencies to lead the future of the health sector in the country.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Shaista Asif, CEO of PureHealth Group, Professor Deborah McNamara, President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and Rashid Al Qubaisi, Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth Group.

The Emirates Development Center Leaders Program is one of the most comprehensive platforms for developing national competencies in the country, as it aims to prepare the next generation of Emirati leaders and enable them to lead transformation in the healthcare sector according to the foundations of innovation and excellence.

To date, the program has succeeded in developing the skills of more than 317 employees of the group, including the third and largest batch in 2025, which reflects the group’s strategic investment in empowering Emirati leaders and unleashing the full potential of national talent.

The program offers advanced training paths and comprehensive educational experiences designed to enhance the personal and professional growth of participants, through individual development plans that align with the goals of their organizations.

Participants are supported by multiple mentorship programs, real-life projects, and hands-on training in key areas including leadership, business acumen, research, innovation, and strategic planning. During the ceremony, Her Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi affirmed the department’s commitment to empowering national competencies out of belief in their pivotal role in the country’s renaissance and prosperity, noting that Abu Dhabi is moving steadily towards achieving its ambitious vision of establishing a global and innovative health system, through strategic partnerships that contribute to strengthening national capabilities and enabling them to lead. She said that the partnership with the “PureHealth” group represents an inspiring model in supporting the next generation of healthcare leaders, stressing that the department, in cooperation with its partners, continues to establish an incubator environment in which Emirati talents flourish and hone their skills to lead the process of excellence and build the future of healthcare in the emirate.

Al Ghaithi congratulated the graduates on their achievement, which embodies the convergence of ambition and opportunities within the global health system in Abu Dhabi, stressing that what was achieved today reflects the leadership’s vision towards a healthier and more prosperous future.

For his part, Rashid Al Qubaisi expressed his pride and pride in the graduates of the third batch of the “Emirati Development Center” program, praising the commitment, excellence and innovation they demonstrated, which reflects the spirit of leadership and responsibility.

He said that the program was designed in a unique way to discover national talents, hone their skills, and qualify them to assume leadership positions in the health care sector, noting that each new batch represents an advanced step in the development process that the group is pursuing to build a generation of Emirati competencies capable of contributing to achieving the national vision.

He added that the graduation of 146 national competencies this year embodies PureHealth’s commitment to the excellence approach and its inspiring model in supporting national leaders, stressing that the experience and knowledge the graduates have acquired qualifies them to be an active part in delivering global health care services to everyone who needs them, and consolidating the UAE’s position as a leading center in the health sector at the regional and global levels.
