A gang of 4 members.. Two men were arrested in connection with the theft of the Louvre Museum

Two men were arrested on Saturday evening as part of the investigation into the theft of historical jewelry from the Louvre Museum in the French capital on October 19, according to what two informed sources confirmed on Sunday, confirming information reported by local media.
One of the suspects was arrested around 10 p.m. at Charles de Gaulle Airport while preparing to board a plane heading abroad, according to Le Parisien newspaper and Paris Match magazine, and was arrested. The second was arrested shortly afterwards in Paris.
The two men were placed in custody on charges of robbery in an organized gang and forming a criminal gang.
They are suspected of being part of a group of four individuals who stole eight pieces of jewelery from the French Crown Collection last Sunday, valued at approximately 88 million euros.
Museum Jewelry Louvre
At about half past nine in the morning on October 19, the thieves stopped a truck carrying a forklift near the wall of the museum located in the heart of the French capital, and two of them climbed through the crane into the exhibition hall that included the jewelry.
After smashing the window of the hall and the display boxes, the criminals fled with the jewelry on two large motorcycles, and the theft process took some time. Between seven and eight minutes in total.
About 100 investigators participate in the investigations assigned to the Anti-Crime Squad and the Central Office for Combating Trafficking in Cultural Property.
