PwC: Professionalism and diversity are behind the booming hospitality sector in the UAE

Dubai, 27 October / WAM / Nicholas Meyer, Global Head of the Tourism Sector and Tourism and Destinations Development Partner in the Middle East at PwC Global Professional Services, confirmed that the prosperity and growth of the hospitality sector in the UAE is linked to the effectiveness of governance, the professionalism of sector management, and the diversity of tourist destinations in the country.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the World Summit on the Future of Travel held in Dubai, Mayer said that the high professionalism in managing the hospitality sector in the Emirates and other sectors supports the aspirations of investors, stressing that government agencies help investors determine the most appropriate segments and opportunities.
He added: “All the authorities responsible for the sector in the various Emirates receive investors, guide them with clear advice, and connect them with appropriate partners, pointing out that this professionalism enhances the UAE’s position not only in hospitality but in other sectors as well.”
He pointed out that Dubai is a dynamic destination that attracts new segments of visitors, pointing out that it is not satisfied with the segments it currently attracts, but rather is actively seeking to attract visitors from new destinations.

Mayer pointed out that the UAE includes a group of distinguished tourist destinations in its various emirates, and each destination and each emirate has unique value offers.
He noted that each emirate offers different products and targets diverse visitor segments, and for investors, this diversity provides a wide range of opportunities across different locations and market categories.
He explained that Dubai is still witnessing tremendous growth, and Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah, for example, are offering exciting projects such as the expansions of Yas Island and the development of Marjan Island.
Speaking about the role of artificial intelligence and its role in reshaping the sector, he said: The impact of technology is often overestimated in the short term and underestimated in the long term, stressing that artificial intelligence will enhance building maintenance, facilities management, construction planning, procurement, marketing, and business partnerships.
He stressed that the destinations, governance, professionalism and diversity that the UAE possesses make it an attractive option for investors looking for long-term growth in the hospitality sector.
