Great demand for the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair workshops

Fujairah, October 27 / WAM / The Fujairah Children’s Book Fair hosted, on its second day, a group of interactive workshops that combined fun and knowledge and aimed to develop children’s skills and stimulate their creative imagination.

The Syrian writer, specialist in children’s and young people’s literature, Muhannad Al-Aqous, opened the series of workshops with a workshop entitled “What’s in My Head” to stimulate children’s imagination and encourage creative expression.

The children participated in the “Our Little Council” workshop, which was organized by the Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Council and presented by the Emirati researcher and writer in the field of intangible heritage, Khaled Al-Hindassi, to introduce young people to the values ​​of the Emirati Council and the importance of dialogue and respect for other opinions, while the Bahraini writer and media personality, Dr. Parween Habib, presented a storytelling session entitled “Give Me Your Hand,” focusing on human and moral values.

On the main stage, Jassim Al Marashda presented a theatrical performance entitled “One Society… Many Stories” that embodies tolerance, cooperation and cultural diversity, while the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority presented an introductory workshop on the “Inheritance” application to introduce children to the UAE’s tangible and intangible heritage in an innovative way.

The researcher in history and academic documentation, Abdullah Al-Kindi, and the researcher in Emirati heritage, Dr. Amna Al-Dhanhani, also presented a workshop entitled “Neighborhood in Fujairah” to introduce children to Emirati customs and traditions, and the writer and translator specializing in children’s and young people’s literature, Flora Majdalawi, presented a workshop, “From Dawn to Sunset with the Birds of the Carob Forest,” during which she raised fundamental questions that touch on children’s daily lives, such as Honesty, cooperation, wisdom and decision making.
The exhibition also included a workshop on “The Basics of Naskh Calligraphy from A to Z” presented by calligrapher Abdul Mohsen Nassar from the School of Calligraphy and Decoration in Fujairah, a reading session for the story “Ahmed and the Island of Birds” presented by Anwar Al-Salami, in addition to a workshop on “Our Common Story” by the writer Muhammad Al-Nabulsi to enhance collective narration, an educational comedy theater show entitled “Anecdotes of Juha” presented by Nayrouz Al-Tambouli, and a story session. “Aousha is the Coffee Ambassador” to introduce children to the cultural heritage of coffee in the Emirates.
During its evening session, the festival hosted a group of rich workshops, thus presenting a rich group of interactive workshops, story readings, and theatrical performances that combine fun, knowledge, and positive values.
