"Sharjah for volunteer work" It organizes virtual Ramadan councils to promote a culture of giving and social responsibility

Sharjah, March 11 / WAM / The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work is organizing a series of virtual Ramadan councils during the holy month of Ramadan, in coordination and cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs, within the framework of strengthening institutional partnership and integrating societal roles.

The organization of these councils is part of the award’s annual programs aimed at consolidating the values ​​of giving and volunteer work, and investing in the faith atmosphere of the holy month in spreading the culture of volunteering and enhancing the spirit of social responsibility among members of society.

This year’s Ramadan councils include providing virtual lectures that allow a wide segment of society to participate and benefit, as a virtual lecture is organized for men and another for women.

Through these councils, the award seeks to consolidate the concepts of solidarity, compassion, and initiative to serve society, which contributes to enhancing awareness of the importance of volunteer work and spreading its culture among various segments of society.

Her Excellency Suad Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, confirmed that the award is keen to provide innovative programs that interact with the spirit and needs of society, pointing out that Ramadan councils constitute a platform for constructive dialogue and spreading awareness of the value of volunteer work and its impact on community development.

This initiative comes within a series of programs and activities implemented by the award throughout the year, in confirmation of its role in supporting volunteer work and motivating individuals and institutions to contribute effectively to serving society and consolidating the system of human values.
