Student evaluationin general education, ensuring that the characteristics of this group are taken into account, achieving educational justice, and enabling them to advance academically without any unfair measurement or comparison with general education students.

The Ministry clarified that the application of these procedures applies to the student officially transferred to A easyeducational program, keeping him in the general education classes to receive his education and tests, while adopting special evaluation mechanisms that take into account his mental, linguistic, and cognitive abilities.

She pointed out that the evaluation process includes dividing the subjects of the subject if they are multi-faceted, and taking into account the characteristics of the student when asking him for projects, research, and reports, without comparing him to general education students when evaluating his work, while ensuring that the questions presented to him are based on the basic concepts of the subject, and prepared in partnership between the subject teacher and the special education teacher, in a manner consistent with With his abilities.

Teachers’ flexibility

The Ministry indicated that teachers have flexibility in determining the evaluation mechanism in practical subjects, including reducing work requirements if necessary, or involving the student with one of his fellow general education students in Practical evaluations and evaluate it accordingly. In an important aspect, the Ministry confirmed that a student who suffers from speech and speech disorders is not compared to others during the evaluation, and is not held accountable for errors resulting from these disorders, in order to preserve the fairness and credibility of the evaluation.

The Ministry stated that the teacher can test the student in an independent place when needed, while giving him the appropriate additional time in the final tests in accordance with his reading and writing abilities. The test can also be divided into two periods on two different days to achieve the highest degree of facilitation. She also stressed the importance of using direct and clear questions of the objective or essay type, so that they do not require a high linguistic vocabulary.

The Ministry pointed out that the minimum limits of proficiency percentages are reduced for a student in the first and second grades of primary school in subjects that are evaluated formatively, and if he does not master the standards of the subject at the end of the year, he is re-evaluated at the beginning of the next academic year before a final decision is made regarding his continuation.

It explained that the level of mastery is considered achieved when the student obtains 50% or more, while it is considered inproficient if he obtains less than that, and that judging the level of mastery of the subject depends on achieving 50% or more of its standards, with exceeding two additional standards determined by the supervising committee and the class teacher, while the student is not passed if he obtains less than half of the standards and does not achieve the minimum standards by more than two standards.

The Ministry has confirmed that the student’s success requires that he obtain the minimum final grade of 30% in all academic subjects, along with taking the end-of-study period exam and achieving at least 15% of the end-of-year exam grade.

The student is also given opportunities to repeat the short tests and oral evaluations, in addition to being allowed to retake the second round exam one additional time in the event of not achieving the minimum final grade, as an exception to the applicable rules.

The Ministry explained that a transcript or secondary school completion certificate is issued to the student under the name “Yaseer Educational Program for People with Borderline Intelligence,” as part of the Ministry’s efforts to empower this group and ensure that they receive a fair and flexible educational evaluation that reflects their true capabilities and opens a sustainable and balanced educational path for them.
