The Head of State receives the Korean President at the National Palace

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of Korea, who is on a “state visit” to the UAE.

An official reception ceremony was held for President Lee Jae-myung upon the arrival of his motorcade at Qasr Al Watan in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the guest president, was escorted to the podium of honor, where the national anthem of the UAE and the Republic of Korea was played while artillery fired 21 shots and a group of honor guards lined up to salute His Excellency.

When the Korean President’s motorcade arrived at the National Palace Square, the “Emirates Knights” national air show team flew in the sky of the palace, forming a painting with the Korean flag.

Emirati folklore groups also performed various traditional songs and performances, in addition to horse and camel shows, to welcome the Korean President, and groups of children lined up carrying the flags of the two countries and chanting phrases of welcome to the guest.

His Excellency was received by His Highness the Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials who welcomed his visit to the country. He was received by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Court, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and a number of sheikhs, ministers and senior state officials.
