Putin: The American plan regarding Ukraine forms the basis for future agreements

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed on Thursday that his country generally agrees that the US list of points regarding Ukraine could form the basis for future agreements.
Putin said – in statements reported by the “Russia Today” website: “Before my visit to the United States, and before my visit to Alaska, we discussed this with the American negotiators.
And then that list of potential 28-point agreements emerged and, as already announced, was conveyed to us through certain channels and we looked at them".
He added: “Moscow agrees that the United States initiative can form the basis for future agreements, but it must be transferred to diplomatic language. Every point in the plan is considered essential,” stressing that “We must sit down and discuss the matter seriously, as every word there is important”.
Putin confirmed that Russia had studied the initial plan for the Ukrainian settlement, and the proposals were conveyed after the meeting in Geneva, noting that there were no draft agreements, but rather a list of proposed issues for discussion.
Putin described the signing of settlement documents with the current Ukrainian authority as meaningless, noting that only the “Rada” It is the Ukrainian Parliament that has the right to extend powers under martial law, not the president.
