Italian Foreign Minister: We will pass legislation to continue providing military support to Ukraine

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Taiani said on Thursday that the Italian government will pass legislation enabling Italy to continue providing military support to Ukraine.

When asked about the reservations expressed by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the right-wing League party, Matteo Salvini, regarding continued support for Kiev, Taiani said: “This is the position taken by the Prime Minister, and it is a position I agree with.”

He added – during an event he organized His party is “Forza Italia” (center-right) in the House of Representatives, according to what was reported by the Italian ANSA news agency – that “the legislation will be approved by the end of the year.”
