An armed attack burns 15 fuel trucks in southern Mali

Fuel truck convoy for Armed attack near the town of Bugoni Southern Mali, which led to the burning of at least 15 trucks, according to field sources.

The convoy was heading to Bamako under army protection before it fell into an ambush, while some trucks were able to return to the capital, which is about 160 km away.

The attack comes after about 15 days of relative field calm, which raised hopes for improved fuel supplies in the country.
