The launch of the “Nasamat Masfoot” festival in Ajman

The activities of the “Nasamat Masfoot” festival, organized by the Emirates Council for Balanced Development within the activities of the “Emirates Villages” program, in partnership with the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, began today in the Emirate of Ajman and will continue until December 31, amid an authentic social and heritage atmosphere that reflects the cultural and popular heritage and the beauty of nature.

The organization of the “Nasmat Masfoot” festival comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Office for Development Affairs and Families of Martyrs, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development, and his strategic vision to enhance national identity and preserve the cultural and heritage heritage in parallel with supporting economic and tourism development paths in various rural areas in a way that enhances the quality of life and achieves social stability for the residents of these areas.

The “Nasmat Masfout” festival, which was launched in the Sawir area in Masfout, constitutes an open invitation to celebrate authentic heritage, discover the true spirit of Masfout woven with the threads of the Emirati story, and enjoy nature experiences that return a person to his original roots.

The “Nasamat Masfoot” festival confirms the Council’s commitment to providing sustainable and innovative initiatives within the “Emirates Villages” project, which contributes to strengthening national identity and driving economic and tourism growth.

National festivals contribute to enhancing the position of UAE villages as a leading tourist destination by highlighting their natural and heritage components and providing platforms that enhance community participation in line with the vision of the Emirates Council for Balanced Development in making the community an essential partner in development.

The “Nasamat Masfoot” festival celebrates Emirati heritage through live performances of handicrafts and traditional arts and holding interactive workshops that reflect the authenticity of the cultural heritage and consolidate the national identity.

The festival’s activities continue for two weeks and begin daily at 4:30 pm until 10 pm, ensuring the participation of the largest number of visitors in its various activities that are held in a social and heritage atmosphere that meets the aspirations of families and visitors.

The “Nasamat Masfoot” festival highlights cultural heritage and social diversity, in addition to stimulating the local economy and enhancing the tourist attraction of rural areas in the country through interactive programs suitable for all family members, including youth, senior citizens and people of determination, through a group of events that allow exploring rural areas, interacting with folk arts, and participating in sports and recreational activities.

It is worth noting that the village of Masfoot in the Emirate of Ajman won the “Best Tourist Village in the World” award for the year 2025 from the United Nations Tourism Organization, making the UAE a new historical achievement added to its record of international achievements.

This victory reflects the success of the country’s pioneering national initiatives in the field of balanced development, especially the “Emirates Villages” program, which aims to achieve a sustainable development model for the villages of the Emirates based on the innovative and inspiring national initiatives that aim to achieve a balance between preserving natural and cultural heritage and sustainable development.
