US President Donald Trump announced that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened again after signing the peace agreement with Iran on Friday, in clear contradiction to his previous statement that the vital waterway would be opened immediately.

Trump added in a post on his “Truth Social” platform on Sunday, “This great agreement will bring peace and security to the entire region.”
