المملكة: Honoring 12 winners from 163 volunteer initiatives.. “Taziz” concludes its third session with a national celebration


The Taziz Award for Voluntary Work continued its active presence in supporting and empowering Volunteer work, with the conclusion of the activities of its third session yesterday evening, in a celebratory ceremony that reflected the growing status of the award as one of the leading national initiatives in stimulating organized giving and enhancing sustainable societal impact, and embodying the spirit of community belonging and human solidarity.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Civil Society Associations in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khairum Society for Teaching and Memorizing the Holy Quran in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Engineer Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Hanafi, with the broad participation of male and female volunteers, in addition to generous sponsorship from a number of national companies and institutions, in a scene that reflected the integration of roles between the non-profit sector and supporting bodies, and stressed the importance of community partnerships in supporting Volunteer initiatives.

Honoring individuals and volunteer teams

The event witnessed the honoring of an elite group of distinguished individuals and volunteer teams in various fields, in appreciation of their qualitative contributions to community service, and their role in promoting a culture of sustainable volunteering, and transforming humanitarian initiatives into projects with a tangible impact, reflecting the growing interest in volunteer work as one of the basic pillars of social development and building vibrant communities.

The organizers of the award confirmed that the qualitative support provided by Sponsors contributed to the success of the event, noting that this interaction reflects a growing awareness of the importance of empowering community initiatives, enhancing the role of volunteers in facing social challenges, and contributing to building a more cohesive, interdependent and sustainable society.

A number of honored volunteers expressed their pride and pride in this honor, stressing that the “Taziz” award represents a strong incentive to continue giving, develop volunteer initiatives, and actively participate in achieving national development goals, Pointing out that celebrating volunteer efforts contributes to raising the quality of performance and enhancing continuity in community work.

For its part, In her speech during the ceremony, the President of the Al-Faisaliah Society and the Chair of the Award’s Organizing Committee, Professor Khairiya Muhammad Nour Rahimi, confirmed that the “Taziz” Award represents an extension of a well-established approach to supporting volunteer work, noting that volunteer work is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development, and one of the main enablers of national transformation in the non-profit sector, which contributes to building an interconnected and united society.

She added that male and female volunteers constitute a pivotal element in achieving social impact. Sustainable, through qualitative initiatives that respond to the needs of society and keep pace with its aspirations, and contribute to consolidating the culture of community participation and organized work.

Diversity of initiatives and multiplicity of fields

The award witnessed wide participation from various regions of the Kingdom, reflecting the diversity of the initiatives presented and the multiplicity of their fields, which included social empowerment, community development, and support for deserving groups, in line with national development goals and enhancing the quality of life.

The statistics for the third session showed the large amount of interaction with the award, as the number of advertisement views reached More than one million two hundred thousand views were received across social media platforms, while the number of clicks on advertisements reached more than seven thousand clicks, and the number of visitors to the award platform reached more than two thousand five hundred visitors. 163 volunteer initiatives were submitted for the award, resulting in 35 qualified initiatives and 21 distinguished initiatives, with 12 winners being honored from various categories.

The honoring categories included individuals, volunteer teams, educational institutions, colleges and universities, in addition to government agencies. And private, in confirmation of the comprehensiveness of the award and its keenness to highlight the various aspects of volunteer work affecting society.

The ceremony included honoring the winners of the “Taziz” Award in its third session, in addition to honoring a number of pioneering women in charitable volunteer work, in appreciation of their giving extended over many years, and their outstanding contributions to community service and consolidating the values of volunteer work, as this honor embodied the award’s loyalty to the pioneers and inspirations in the fields of charitable work.

The award embodied “Tazeez” in its third session is an advanced model of community partnership, through distinguished participation of individuals, volunteer teams, educational bodies, and government and private sectors, all of which contributed to enhancing the culture of volunteering, consolidating the values of giving and institutional work, and affirming the role of volunteering as one of the pillars of sustainable development, and in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
