With 17 billion riyals…more than 255 million point-of-sale transactions in the Kingdom in a week

The number of Points of sale in the Kingdom during the period from (December 28, 2025 AD – January 3, 2026 AD), (255,361,000) transactions, worth (17,016,822,000) riyals, compared to (13,028,075,000) riyals, for the same previous period.

And according to the bulletin Central Bank of Saudi Arabia weekly points of sale, the number of transactions reached Transportation(7,092,000) worth (1,215,782,000) riyals, and the number of operations in health reached (10,925,000) worth (992,502,000) riyals.

The number of operations in restaurants and cafes reached (60,568,000) worth (1,901,774,000) riyals, and reached The number of operations in baked goods and sweets was (7,766,000) with a value of (316,058,000) riyals. The number of operations in hotels reached (850,000) with a value of (396,098,000) riyals. The number of operations in food and beverages reached (57,147,000) with a value of (2,709,201,000) riyals. The number of operations in clothing and accessories reached (2,709,201,000) riyals. (12,577,000) with a value of (1,605,031,000) riyals, while the number of operations in culture and entertainment reached (4,997,000) with a value of (450,519,000) riyals.

Professional and commercial services

The number of operations in professional and commercial services reached (13,954,000) with a value (963,292,000) riyals, the number of operations in electronic and electrical devices reached (2,092,000) with a value of (232,100,000) riyals, the number of operations in furniture and household supplies reached (3,322,000) with a value of (677,505,000) riyals, and the number of operations in building and construction materials reached (2,837,000) with a value (484,173,000) riyals.

The number of operations in jewelry reached (381,000) with a value of (544,124,000) riyals, the number of operations in communications reached (5,053,000) with a value of (255,415,000) riyals, and the number of operations in education reached (178,000) with a value of (235,508,000) riyals.

The number of operations in public utilities and services reached (895,000) with a value of (61,306,000) riyals, and the number of operations in gas stations reached (17,973,000) with a value of (1,078,994,000) riyals, and the number of operations in laundry services reached (3,087,000) with a value of (70,538,000) riyals, and the number of other operations reached (70,538,000) riyals. (43,666,000) worth (2,826,900,000) riyals.

Weekly Point of Sale Operations

Across the Kingdom’s cities, the number of weekly Point of Sale operations in Riyadh reached (79,619,000) with a value of (5,612,638,000) riyals, and the number of Point of Sale operations in Mecca reached (10,357,000) with a value of (755,229,000) riyals, while the number of point-of-sale operations in Medina reached (10,153,000) with a value of (720,352,000) riyals.

The number of point-of-sale operations in Tabuk reached (5,229,000) with a value of (331,195,000) riyals, and the number of point-of-sale operations in Hail reached (4,444,000) with a value of (295,258,000) The number of point-of-sale operations in Abha reached (3,253,000) with a value of (190,265,000) riyals, and the number of point-of-sale operations in Buraidah reached (5,694,000) with a value of (417,436,000) riyals.

As for the number of point-of-sale operations in Al-Khobar, it reached (5,241,000) with a value of (467,524,000) riyals. The number of point-of-sale operations in Dammam reached (10,356,000) with a value of (831,931,000) riyals, the number of point-of-sale operations in Jeddah reached (29,683,000) with a value of (2,235,629,000) riyals, and the number of point-of-sale operations in other cities reached (27,287,000) with a value of (1,302,541,000) riyals.
