To discuss Trump’s desire to buy Greenland… a US-Danish meeting next week

Earlier Greenland’s Foreign Minister Viviane Motzfeldt, said that Greenland and Denmark requested an urgent meeting with the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss Donald Trump’s recent statements regarding his intention to annex the Arctic island.

France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom issued a joint statement expressing their support for Denmark in the face of Donald Trump’s claims to Greenland.

The foreign ministers of the Nordic countries also stressed in a joint statement the need to resolve issues related to Denmark and Greenland exclusively between Denmark and Greenland.
