The Family Appeals Court ruled to accept the appeal submitted by the Egyptian artist Zeina against the artist Ahmed Ezz, and obligated him to pay 30 thousand pounds as a domestic worker’s wages for her twin sons.
The ruling came in response to Zeina’s request, which stressed during her lawsuit the necessity of providing integrated care for her two sons in a manner commensurate with their standard of living, and in a manner compatible with the father’s income and financial ability.
The Family Court of Appeal had previously issued a ruling obliging Ahmed Ezz to pay monthly maintenance for Zeina’s twins, as it decided to reduce the amount awarded by the court of first instance from 80 thousand pounds to 60 thousand pounds per month.
The court of first instance estimated the alimony at 80 thousand pounds, based on the evidence that Ahmed Ezz received a high salary for his participation in the movie “Welad Rizk,” which the court considered a clear indication of his level of income and ability to spend.
