"Zayed for people of determination" The Autoimmune Society signs a memorandum of understanding
Abu Dhabi, 18 January / WAM / The Zayed Authority for People of Determination and the Autoimmune Society signed a memorandum of understanding within the framework of supporting national efforts aimed at enhancing community health awareness, improving the quality of life, and building a conscious, healthy and comprehensive society, in line with the UAE’s vision of promoting public health and empowering different segments of society.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on behalf of the Authority by His Excellency Abdullah Abdulali Al-Humaidan, Director General, and on behalf of the Association by His Excellency Dr. Iman Khaled Al-Hashemi, the founder and Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors.
The memorandum aims to enhance joint cooperation in spreading health awareness, especially related to autoimmune conditions, through implementing joint awareness, cultural and media initiatives and programmes, organizing seminars, workshops and community campaigns, in addition to producing positive knowledge and media content that takes into account humanitarian aspects and promotes a culture of coexistence, prevention and early detection, while avoiding the use of negative terminology as much as possible.
Areas of cooperation also include targeting multiple segments of society, including youth, women, families, and school and university students, and involving them in volunteer work and purposeful initiatives within the country, in addition to exchanging expertise and available resources between the two parties, which contributes to maximizing the societal impact of joint initiatives.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, Director General of the Zayed Authority for People of Determination, confirmed that this memorandum comes within the framework of the Authority’s commitment to its societal role in supporting initiatives that promote health awareness, and consolidate the concepts of empowerment and quality of life, by concluding effective strategic partnerships that contribute to building a society that is more aware and understanding of health challenges, and in a way that supports the process of community inclusion and sustainability.
For her part, Her Excellency Dr. Iman Khaled Al Hashemi, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autoimmune Society, confirmed that the signing of the memorandum represents an important milestone towards enhancing the quality of life, exchanging experiences, and developing sustainable health and community initiatives, based on knowledge, containment and integration between sectors.
