More than 6 million students, both male and female, are enrolled in studies in all schools Public, private, and private education in the Kingdom today, Sunday, marking the start of the second semester after a week-long holiday, as students prepare to complete their educational journey extending for 19 academic weeks.

The academic calendar for this semester includes three expected major official holidays, starting with the anniversary of the Founding Day, followed by the Eid al-Fitr holiday, and ending with the Eid al-Adha holiday, with which schools conclude their current academic year.

The Ministry of Education confirmed the All Educational departmentsand schools are important to devote discipline and regularity from the first hours of the official working hours, stressing the necessity of monitoring cases of absence on a daily and accurate basis through the “Noor” electronic system to ensure the progress of the educational process.

The Ministry obligated school leaders to immediately inform parents of their children’s absences through available means of communication, while clarifying the academic consequences resulting from unjustified absences, in confirmation of the articles of the approved conduct and attendance regulations.

This strict ministerial approach seeks to strengthen The educational value of school discipline from the first day, and ensuring the continuity of cognitive achievement for male and female students in a serious educational environment that is in line with the aspirations of families and the educational system.

In an exceptional regulatory step, the Ministry of Education approved an early date for the Eid al-Adha holiday in the administrations of Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Taif, taking into account the specificity of the Hajj, Umrah, and visiting seasons in these regions.

This timeline aims to achieve integration. It fully cooperates with the government agencies involved in organizing the Hajj season, ensuring the smooth flow of logistical operations and activating community work related to serving the guests of God in the holy cities and ports.

With regard to scheduling, several educational districts have approved several work schedules for the holy month of Ramadan in advance, as part of the “summer and winter calendar” plan to inform students and their families of the start and end dates during the holy month.

The Ministry seeks, through this time clarity, to help families schedule their obligations and provide A stable educational environment that balances academic requirements and seasonal and religious conditions in the Kingdom.
