Israelis set intentional fires in Argentina and Chile.. What’s the story?

On the 15th of January, it was announced that an Israeli tourist accused of setting fires inside Torres del Paine National Park, in the Magallanes region, was arrested, according to what was reported by CNN Chile.

According to information received from Radio Biobio, the incident occurred in the Dixon camp area, and it was stopped because this place is not authorized to use heat sources there.

Intentional arson

The Public Prosecution was informed of the incident, and the person was brought before the Guarantee Court in Puerto Natales, where he was formally charged with using heating sources in protected wilderness areas, and was subjected to precautionary measures that include restrictions on regional travel and weekly recordings.

As for Argentina, several opposition figures, including former Army Chief of Staff Cesar Milani, pointed the finger at the accused. Social media accounts of Israeli tourists deliberately starting a series of fires sweeping through Patagonia in southern Argentina, near the border with Chile.

Luis Delia, a former government official, also shared a video of a local resident in which he claims he tried to prevent several Israeli citizens whom he said he saw setting fires in the vast forested area.
