A tripartite summit in Djibouti brings together the leaders of Somalia, Djibouti and Ethiopia


A tripartite summit held in the capital, Djibouti, brought together Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh, and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, discussed ways to enhance regional cooperation and Security issues in the Horn of Africa region.

It was reported The Somali Presidency said in a statement yesterday evening that the summit focused on enhancing joint coordination between the three countries, especially in the areas of Security and combating terrorism, in addition to supporting Somalia’s efforts in the path of democratic transformation and consolidating stability in the region.

The meeting discussed opportunities to develop joint investments, facilitate movement between countries in the region, and enhance economic infrastructure projects in a way that supports regional integration and enhances development opportunities.
