“Mido” was banned from appearing in the media due to questioning the achievements of the Egyptian national team

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt obligated all media outlets to prevent the appearance of the former Egyptian national team player, Ahmed Hossam, known as “Mido”, against the backdrop of his accusation of questioning the sporting achievements achieved by the Egyptian national team during the past years.

Egyptian media reported a statement from the council stating that the ban came because of what the council considered an insult and questioning of the achievements achieved by the national team during the period from 2006 to 2010, during its hosting of one of the famous talk shows on social media platforms.

Mido is scheduled to be investigated before a final decision is taken on the issue of his appearance, according to the council.
