Maggie Bou Ghosn will soon appear in Egyptian works…and reveals an embarrassing situation about her childhood (video)

Actress Maggie Bou Ghosn spoke about her vision of the artistic community, its advantages and challenges, noting that the artistic scene has witnessed great development during the last ten years, especially at the level of Arab drama.

Maggie said during her guest appearance on the “Her Excellency” program, presented by the Egyptian artist Esaad Younes on the DMC channel, that there is a noticeable development in Lebanese drama in terms of level and form, but she stressed that the absence of an integrated industry remains a fundamental obstacle.

Regarding rumors and competition within the artistic community, Maggie stressed that success and bearing great responsibilities may open the door to rumours, noting that competition sometimes creates stories that are not true, but she is always keen to stay away from conflicts and not offend anyone.

She denied that there were any current disagreements between her and her colleagues, stressing that her relationship with the artist Cyrine Abdel Nour and the rest of the stars is very good, saying: “Things are good with everyone.”

Maggie said: “One of my dreams is that I am acting with Esaad Younes, and soon I will be in Egyptian productions, in addition to the fact that all the Lebanese people speak Egyptian very well because we are accustomed to Adel Imam’s plays and ancient Egyptian films and series. We were raised on Egyptian art.”

She revealed a poignant humanitarian situation from her childhood, which caused her to be expelled from school, stressing that when she was young, she was a rebellious person, but her rebellion was always against injustice and not motivated by rioting.

She explained that she had a very strong memory, which enabled her to excel in school despite her difficulty in reading, as she relied on complete memorization without the ability to spell letters or read them correctly.

Maggie said that one of the teachers discovered the matter when she asked her to read some letters on the board, but she failed to do so, which led to her being expelled from school and informing her family that their daughter was suffering from an educational and perhaps psychological problem, especially since her grade point average was very high, and that a teacher who loved her and believed in her abilities visited her family at home, and assured them that Maggie had a sharp intelligence and an exceptional memory, and suggested a different method for teaching her to read, as she linked the letters to the colors, which helped her memorize them. And connect them visually, so Maggie can learn to read again and return to school.
