Photojournalist Kiana Hairi presents a dialogue entitled “How to Live Freedom in Afghanistan,” in which she reviews field experiences documenting the lives of women and the role of the image in preserving memory, taking into account ethical methodologies for documenting societies, which include the consent of the other party and safety considerations.

The dialogue, “How to Build Trust in Difficult Places,” addresses photographer Dr. Tomasz Tomaszewski’s experience working in sensitive environments that do not welcome the presence of a camera. He shows how patience, presence, and responsibility contribute to gaining trust and obtaining approval to photograph by reading the place, relieving tension, and establishing a real relationship that ensures people are photographed with dignity and protects stories from exploitation.

The Hadara Platform hosts a group of sessions and dialogues with the participation of an elite group of international speakers, including Glenn Gaynor, CEO of Hollywood Ventures, Odessa Ray, the Oscar-winning producer, and Aiten Mirzoeva, partner of Vasconi Architects, in a session entitled “Harnessing Soft Power” to discuss the role of stories and images in promoting understanding, empathy, and dialogue across cultural and geographic borders.

The “Trade Secret Revealed: The Conservation Paradox” session will host director Ibrahim Joffe and investigative journalist Dr. Adam Cruz to discuss ways to translate investigative journalism into documentary narrative and practical approaches to ethics, consent and accountability in wildlife films.

The festival organizes 72 workshops, including a workshop entitled “Theatre of Everyday Life,” presented by photographer Vineet Vohra, which includes a practical approach to transforming fleeting daily scenes on the street into photographs through observation, timing, and creative vision. Landscape photographer Mohamed Anabtawi also presents a workshop, “Landscapes: Photography: Vision and Technique,” ​​in which he reviews a comprehensive approach to crafting expressive natural images that combine artistic sense and practical technique.

As a continuation of the practical program and with the participation of a group of international experts, “Exposure 2026” offers 280 evaluation sessions for artistic careers, giving participants the opportunity for direct individual interaction with photo editors and photography experts to obtain professional feedback that contributes to refining the artistic vision, raising the quality of projects, expanding professional horizons, building confidence, and directing the creative path with practical, implementable steps.
