Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed meets with the President of Paraguay and discusses enhancing joint cooperation in the economic and investment fields
ABU DHABI, 4th February, 2020 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the 2 Point Zero Group, met today with His Excellency Santiago Peña, President of the Republic of Paraguay, who is on a working visit to the country during which he will participate in the work of the World Government Summit 2026.
During the meeting, which was held at the Nakheel Palace in Abu Dhabi, the prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various economic fields between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Paraguay were discussed, and opportunities for developing the existing partnership were reviewed in a way that reflects the aspirations of the two countries towards building economic, trade and investment partnerships in the most vital sectors that serve development goals, especially in the clean energy sector, modern technology and logistics services.
During the meeting, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Paraguay was accompanied by a delegation that included His Excellency Javier Jiménez, Minister of Industry and Trade; Her Excellency Mariana Saldívar, Minister of the Project Management Unit of the Presidency of the Republic; His Excellency Victor Alfredo Verdon Bitar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Her Excellency Caroline Conther Lopez, Paraguayan Ambassador to the country.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation Affairs; His Excellency Sultan Al-Yabhouni; Samia Bouazza, CEO and member of the Board of Directors of 2 Point Zero Group.
