The Egyptian “Petrojet” champion of the team competition in table tennis at the Arab Games for Women

The team competitions in the table tennis tournament within the 2026 Arab Women’s Club Games, which were hosted by the Children’s Center Hall in Al-Qarayen in the Emirate of Sharjah, concluded yesterday evening, with the Egyptian “Petrojet” club crowned champion of the competition after a series of successive victories during which it confirmed its technical superiority in a tournament that witnessed the participation of five clubs from five Arab countries amid strong levels of competition.

The competitions witnessed the superiority of the Egyptian Petrojet and Sharjah Women’s Sports Clubs and the Kuwaiti Al-Fatah Club, which imposed its technical presence from the first round through successive results in the teams’ confrontations within the tournament that was held in a single-round league system.

The confrontations witnessed the victory of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club over the Lebanese Nadwa Al-Qamatiya Club with a score of 3-1, while Petrojet of Egypt continued its positive results by defeating the Palestine Club with a score of 3-0 in matches that strengthened the position of the two teams in the race for the top spot.

The opening round recorded the victory of Petrojet of Egypt over Al-Nadwa of Lebanon with a score of 3-0, and the victory of Al-Fatat Club of Kuwait over Club of Palestine with the same score in two matches held simultaneously during the morning period before the competitions continued in the evening period, where Petrojet achieved a new victory over Al-Fatatah with a score of 3-0, while Sharjah Sports Club for Women defeated Palestine Club with a score of 3-0.

In the most prominent confrontation, the Egyptian Petrojet team succeeded in claiming the lead after achieving its fourth successive victory, defeating Sharjah Women’s Sports Club with a score of 3-0 in a strong match between the two teams, raising its score to 8 points with full marks and winning the gold medal in the team competition, repeating the Egyptian lead in the tournament, the title of which was won by the Enppi team in the last edition.

The Kuwaiti Al-Fatah Club came in second place with 7 points after defeating Al-Sharjah Women’s Sports Club with a score of 3-0, while Al-Sharjah Women’s Sports Club came in third with 6 points, and the Palestinian Palestine Club achieved a victory over the Lebanese Al-Nadwa Club with a score of 3-0 to occupy third place with 5 points, while the Lebanese Al-Nadwa team came in fifth place with 3 points.

The tournament was held in a single-round league system at the team level, while the individual competitions were held in a group system and the doubles competitions were held in a knockout system.
