The US embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones

The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced, at dawn on Tuesday, that the US embassy in Riyadh was attacked by two drones.

The Ministry’s official spokesman, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, said in a statement that initial estimates indicate that the US embassy was attacked by two drones, adding that it resulted in a limited fire and minor material damage to the building.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior confirmed earlier that the security conditions are reassuring, and daily life is proceeding normally in all regions of the country, in light of regional events and developments.

The Ministry noted in a statement that the security sectors work around the clock within an integrated security and service system, in a way that enhances the security of the nation and the safety of everyone who lives on its land.

The statement stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia, its visitors, and residents of its lands is its top priority, alerting the public not to circulate rumors or unknown clips, and to obtain information through its official sources.
