The Ministry of Economy and Tourism organizes an event "Ramadan Leadership Council" In Dubai

Dubai, March 10 / WAM / The Ministry of Economy and Tourism organized the “Ramadan Leadership Council” event in Dubai, with the aim of providing a dialogue platform that brings together an elite group of women and entrepreneurs in the country under one umbrella, which contributes to enhancing communication and exchanging experiences and best practices in economic work, and motivating them to launch various economic projects that support the process of sustainable development in the country.
The event was attended by Her Excellency Badriya Al Maidour, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, Sheikha Dr. Alia Al Qasimi, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AHQ Investments, and Arwa Al Falasi, Director of the Partnerships and Communications Department at the Emirates Gender Balance Council, with the participation of a large group of Emirati women and entrepreneurs.
In her speech during the event, Her Excellency Badriya Al-Maidour said that women entrepreneurs today constitute an influential force in global economies through their effective and innovative projects, in addition to holding high leadership positions in the fields of finance, economics, entrepreneurship and innovation.
She pointed out that in this context, the UAE, in light of the support and directives of its wise leadership, has made great strides towards empowering women entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises, by providing a competitive business environment that supports the growth of their projects, and providing the necessary expertise and support to enhance their sustainability, in a way that reflects their effective and pivotal contribution to the growth of the national economy.
Her Excellency added that the Ministry worked during the last stage, in cooperation with its partners at the local and international levels, to develop initiatives and strategies aimed at supporting women in the field of entrepreneurship, facilitating their access to resources and expertise, and enhancing growth opportunities for their projects. Perhaps the most prominent of these is the national campaign “The UAE is the Entrepreneurial Capital of the World,” which the Ministry supervised and contributed to providing qualitative opportunities for Emirati women entrepreneurs to develop their projects and enter new sectors, as well as the “National Program for Small and Medium Enterprises.”
For her part, Sheikha Dr. Alia Al Qasimi said that women’s health must be promoted to become a measurable national performance indicator, recognizing that hormonal and preventive wellness across all stages of life is an essential foundation for sustainable economic growth, workforce flexibility, and long-term national performance.
In detail, the event witnessed the holding of 5 dialogue sessions, where the first session discussed women’s mental health and the importance of balance between work and professional life, with a focus on raising attendees’ awareness of the importance of mental health, and inspiring participants to achieve balanced personal and professional growth, in the presence of Sheikha Dr. Alia Al Qasimi.
The second session reviewed the experiences of innovative women from the Ministry of Community Empowerment regarding starting projects, challenges and lessons learned, exchanging practical experiences, highlighting the Ministry’s role in supporting family projects, and providing practical advice to attendees who wish to start their own projects.
The third session discussed initiatives and policies that promote gender equality, support women’s participation in various economic sectors, increase awareness of gender balance policies in the Emirates, and encourage attendees to engage in initiatives that support women’s participation in the economy. The fourth session also highlighted the experience of Sumaya Al Maskari, founder of Core Fitness, in how to transform the passion for health and movement into a lifestyle and business, with a focus on well-being and mental and physical balance, motivating attendees to adopt healthy and balanced lifestyles, and presenting a practical model of how to integrate health and well-being with… Entrepreneurship.
The fifth session discussed the contributions of Emirati women entrepreneurs in creating distinctive ideas and projects in the tourism and hospitality sectors, and their role in promoting the growth of the national economy, as well as encouraging local tourism initiatives to merge authenticity with economic sustainability, while reviewing cultural innovation and distinctive visitor experiences.
