Abdullah bin Zayed discusses regional developments with a number of officials and foreign ministers

During phone calls with a number of officials and foreign ministers of brotherly and friendly countries, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed current regional developments and the repercussions of the brutal Iranian missile and terrorist attacks targeting the UAE and a number of sister countries.

His Highness held telephone discussions with Glauk Konjovka, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States of America, and Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, their Excellencies the Ministers and the Director-General of UNESCO, strongly condemned and denounced the brutal and terrorist Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and the countries of the region, stressing their categorical rejection of these practices that contradict the rules of international law, and affirming the right of the countries affected by the attacks to take the necessary measures to protect their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their territories, citizens, residents, and visitors.

During phone calls, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the positions of solidarity shown by brotherly and friendly countries towards the UAE, stressing the safety of all residents and visitors in the country.

The telephone discussions touched on the serious repercussions of these brutal Iranian missile attacks and terrorism on regional and international peace and security, as well as the negative effects on the global economy and the security of energy supplies.

It also addressed the importance of the international community coming together during this stage and working in a coordinated manner to contain tensions, while giving priority to political solutions, diplomatic paths, and serious, responsible dialogue to resolve all outstanding crises, thus contributing to consolidating security and stability for the peoples of the region.
