A prominent media personality raises controversy over her return to presenting programs… and the audience is excited!

Hala Sarhan was keen to involve her followers in the decision to return. She asked, through her Facebook account, a direct question about the format they preferred for her new program, confirming that she was following their messages and comments asking her to return.
The media has opened the door to more than one option, between presenting a podcast of a social or political nature that discusses current issues in depth, or an artistic program that brings back memories and deals with the behind-the-scenes of the artistic community, or returning through a comprehensive daily talk show program that addresses various aspects of reality.
Hala Sarhan is considered one of the most prominent pillars of Arab media. Over a decades-long career, she was able to reformulate the concept of talk shows with high professionalism, by combining sobriety and boldness in presenting topics that have been overlooked, while maintaining a fast and attractive rhythm that is not devoid of Egyptian wit.
Sarhan was a pioneer in breaking the traditional barriers of official media, to present a style based on direct interaction and raising constructive debate, through major platforms such as the Arab Radio and Television Network (ART) and Rotana channels.
She presented hugely popular popular programs on the Arab screen, including “Ya Hala with Hala Sarhan,” “Tonight with Hala Sarhan,” and “Honestly with Hala Sarhan.” Then Dream Channel was her next stop, and she worked there from 2000 until 2003, where she presented the programs “Al Hawa Hwana,” “Hala Show,” and “Al Haqiqa.”
Despite her wide fame, many do not know that she was ranked first in her class. Immediately after her graduation, she was appointed as a teaching assistant and assistant teacher at the Academy of Arts, and she also taught at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.
