370 horses participate in 14 competitions in the UAE Show Jumping League

ABU DHABI, April 3, 2017 (WAM) – 14 show jumping competitions, including 22 races with the participation of 370 horses, will start tomorrow at the Boudheib Equestrian Academy in Abu Dhabi, as part of the 14th edition of the Emirates Longines League, under the supervision of the Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation, and sponsorship by Longines.
Male and female jumping riders participate in the competitions, starting from the beginners category over the 100 cm hurdles, up to the first level category of riders over the 140 cm hurdles, and financial prizes totaling 170 thousand dirhams are allocated for them.
Tomorrow, 7 competitions will be held, including 11 rounds with the specifications of the two special stages, for beginner riders over the 100 cm hurdles, the cubs category over the 105 cm hurdles, the advanced beginners category (3), young jumping horses over the 110 cm hurdles, the juniors category and the second level over the 120 cm hurdles, for young jumping horses aged 6 years over the 120 cm hurdles, then 7 year old jumping horses over hurdles. 125 cm, and a competition for the first level and youth categories on the 130 cm hurdles.
Tomorrow’s events will conclude with the first-level riders competing over 140 cm hurdles, while the day after tomorrow Sunday will witness the second event for each category within 7 competitions of 11 rounds, including 5 with the specifications of one round over hurdles with a height of 105 cm for beginners and up to 130 cm for 7-year-old horses, and a boarding round competition for first-level riders and the youth category over the same height of 130 cm, concluding with a one-round competition with a round of distinction over hurdles.
