Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi witnesses the graduation of a batch of student officers at the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences and the undergraduate course

Sharjah, April 4, 2017 – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed this evening the graduation ceremony of the 24th batch of officer cadets at the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences, and the undergraduate qualifying course for the rank of lieutenant, at the Academy’s headquarters in the University City.

Upon his arrival, His Highness was received by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler, senior officials, police commanders, members of the Academy’s Board of Trustees, and directors of military and police academies and colleges.

The ceremony began with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, then recited verses from the Holy Quran, after which Brigadier General Dr. Muhammad Khamis Al Othmani, Director of the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences, delivered a speech in which he stressed that graduation comes as an extension of the path of a nation that has made security a pillar of stability and science a path to progress, indicating that these batches join the academy’s record of giving, and join the march of a nation firmly rooted in its security and renaissance.

Brigadier Al Othmani stressed that the security and stability that the country enjoys under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” is the result of a solid leadership vision, translated by the security and military institutions into distinguished performance that reflects a high national commitment and embodies the status of the Emirates. He also offered the highest expressions of thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous patronage and continued support for the academy’s progress, noting that His Highness’s directives shaped It is a fundamental basis in preparing student officers, the basis of which is arming with useful knowledge, adhering to the right religion, pride in national identity, and possessing the morals that make the security man a role model.

The Director of the Sharjah Academy of Police Sciences also extended his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Academy Council, for his great support and continued interest in the progress of the Academy, its programs and initiatives, and his diligent follow-up of everything that would improve the level of police education and training, pointing out that the Academy, thanks to the wise vision and continuous support of the wise leadership, has established its position as a prestigious scientific and security edifice, combining Authenticity of values and modernity of knowledge, and producing cadres who have proven their competence in the fields of work.

He added that the Academy is continuing to develop its educational and training system by adopting the latest technologies, most notably artificial intelligence and virtual training environments, in a way that enhances the readiness of security cadres to face the challenges of the future, and embodies the directives of leadership in building a scientifically and practically qualified human being capable of performing his national mission efficiently and competently. He also sent to the graduates a message that the honor of the profession is based on justice, integrity, and community service, and that the responsibility they bear requires loyalty and constant commitment.

After that, His Highness the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and the attendees followed a visual presentation about the academy and its pioneering role in qualifying military cadres, and a presentation that praised the love of the homeland, its wise leadership, and the sacrifice of the precious and valuable in order to preserve the homeland’s soil.

His Highness also watched a military parade in which the officer cadets embodied precise discipline and proficient performance, in a scene that reflected high readiness and solid field spirit, translating the scientific and training qualifications they had acquired into a practical image that reflects their competence.

His Highness the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honored the outstanding graduates who won first places, the Sword of Honor, and the parade leader.

After that, the ceremony of handing over the flag from the 24th to the 25th batch began, in a scene that embodies the continuity of giving and the inheritance of responsibility, after which the graduates took the oath to mark the beginning of their practical journey in serving the nation.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah kindly took a group photo with the graduates as a culmination of years of hard work and diligence.

Following the end of the official ceremony, Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police and Vice Chairman of the Academy Council, handed the graduates their graduation certificates, wishing them success in their next professional career in serving the United Arab Emirates, its leadership and its people.

The number of graduates of the bachelor’s program of officer cadets in the twenty-fourth batch reached (44) students, who received an integrated academic and training program that spanned four years, combining police and legal sciences and field applications, within a modern educational system based on scientific foundation and practical application.

The number of participants in the university qualification course for the rank of lieutenant reached (12) members, who underwent an intensive rehabilitation program that spanned two semesters, focusing on developing legal knowledge, refining police skills, and enhancing leadership capabilities, in line with the requirements of modern security work.
