The Marine Sports Federation discusses its strategic plans with the Ministry of Sports
Sharjah, April 11 / WAM / The Emirates Marine Sports Federation held a meeting with the Ministry of Sports as part of efforts to develop the marine sports sector, at the House of Wisdom in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Sports Development Sector at the Ministry of Sports, His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Vice President of the Federation, His Excellency Khalid Khamis bin Dasmal, Secretary-General of the Federation, and Abdul Aziz Al-Hussan, Advisor to the Sports Competitiveness Sector at the Ministry of Sports.
The meeting comes within the framework of the federation’s vision aimed at strengthening institutional integration with sports authorities in the country, and keeping pace with national trends in developing the sports sector, under the guidance and follow-up of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation.
During the meeting, the federation’s strategic directions until 2028 were reviewed, which are based on developing the technical and administrative system, raising the efficiency of national cadres, and enhancing the readiness of national teams for international participation.
The participants discussed the work topics related to the trends of the Olympic Games, and the mechanisms for preparing qualitative development programs aimed at discovering and refining national talent, which contributes to building a strong competitive base that supports the UAE’s presence in the upcoming Olympic Games.
The attendees stressed the importance of unifying efforts among the various stakeholders, and activating strategic partnerships in a way that enhances the efficiency of implementation and ensures achieving the goals of the next stage, in line with the country’s vision of consolidating its sporting position at the regional and international levels.
