Japan’s Vissel qualifies for the semi-finals of the AFC Elite Champions League at the expense of Qatar’s Al Sadd

Japan’s Vissel Kobe qualified for the semi-finals of the AFC Champions League for the Elite at the expense of Al-Sadd of Qatar following the start of the quarter-final matches of the AFC Champions League for the Elite Football Championship, which is currently being held in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a one-match group system.
Vissel defeated Al-Sadd, 5-4, on penalties, at Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, becoming the first to qualify for the semi-finals of the continental championship.
The regular time of the match ended in a 3-3 draw, so the match went to extra time.
Rafa Mujica scored two goals for Al Sadd (61st minute and 61st minute), and Roberto Firmino (65th minute). Boya Osako (24th minute), Yusuke Ideguchi (74th minute), and Yoshinori Muto (90th + 3rd minute) scored for Vissel Kobe.
Two confrontations will be held within the competitions of this round, as Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia will meet with Johor of Malaysia, and Machida Zelvia of Japan will meet with Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia, while the confrontations of the round will conclude with Shabab Al-Ahly meeting with Buriam of Thailand next Saturday.
