Very good.. Trump praises his meeting with his Brazilian counterpart in Washington
The American President praised Donald Trump meeting with his Brazilian counterpart Luis Inacio Lula da Silva in Washington on Thursday, saying he focused on tariffs.
He wrote Trump on stage "Truth Social" After the meeting, which was scheduled to be open to the media, but took place behind closed doors: "We discussed many topics, including trade, especially tariffs"
He added: "The meeting went very well"
Lula arrived in Washington yesterday, Wednesday, to meet with Trump, seeking to address thorny issues, and implicitly seeking to improve his image in Brazil before the elections next October.
Trouble of diplomatic relations between the two countries
Diplomatic relations between Brazil and the United States were troubled, although the two presidents, who are radically ideologically opposed, acknowledge the existence of… "chemistry" Between them on a personal level.

Lula, who accused Trump in 2025 of seeking to become the emperor of the world, condemned the two American interventions, and said last month: "I am against any political interference, regardless of the country".
