Sharjah Airport provides a comprehensive travel experience for the guests of God

Sharjah, 21 May / WAM / Sharjah Airport bid farewell to the pilgrims departing today for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj rituals for the year 1447 AH, within an integrated operational system that reflects the high level of readiness and effective institutional coordination with various strategic partners.

This comes within the framework of the airport’s keenness to provide an exceptional travel experience for the guests of God, based on operational efficiency and quality of services, ensuring the smoothness of procedures and the comfort of pilgrims from the moment of their arrival at the airport until their departure to the Holy Lands.

Sharjah Airport facilities witnessed active activity with the influx of pilgrims, as prepared service platforms were allocated for them, and work teams received them and provided them with support and guidance within integrated coordination with the relevant authorities and airlines, which contributed to ensuring the smoothness of procedures and ease of movement within the airport.

Operational readiness was also enhanced by increasing the number of field cadres and activating additional platforms for completing travel procedures, including baggage registration and expanding the use of smart gates, which contributes to speeding up procedures and improving the flow of movement.

As part of the keenness to provide an integrated and comfortable travel experience, rest areas were allocated for pilgrims inside the airport, in addition to enhancing logistical services, providing Arab hospitality, and distributing souvenirs.

Multilingual awareness and guidance materials were also provided, reflecting Sharjah Airport’s commitment to providing an integrated human experience that takes into account the needs of different categories of travellers.

The Sharjah International Airport Authority pays great attention to health aspects, as the Sharjah Airport Medical Center works in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Sharjah Health Authority to provide preventive health care services to pilgrims by conducting the necessary medical examinations and providing comprehensive health awareness, including distributing the “Health Guide for Pilgrims,” which includes a set of important instructions and advice to ensure the safety of pilgrims during the various stages of their journey.

Coordination was made with the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah to provide a religious preacher who provides support and guidance to pilgrims and answers their inquiries related to performing rituals, thus contributing to enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.
