After 6 artists withdrew, Trump cancels Independence Day concerts

The US President announced Thursday, holding a mass rally in Washington on June 24 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of independence On its Truth Social platform: "In celebration of our country’s 250-year history, we’re bringing you, live, the greatest gathering ever! He will be special on every level"

The 79-year-old president added: "We don’t want singers who have no talent, just high ticket prices that make you sleepy. We asked them all to stay at home."
He continued: "All we want is you, me, some speakers, and the greatest music ever, the same music you’ve listened to for years"referring to a performance by singer Lee Greenwood, the author of the song "God bless the United States of America" Which is broadcast at all of Trump’s political festivals.
Rally
Trump had previously proposed organizing a rally for his movement "Make America great again" (MAGA), but he did not mention it in his announcement Thursday.
The Republican president is trying to leave his mark on the 250th anniversary of America’s independence by organizing martial arts competitions on June 14, his 80th birthday, in a specially built arena in the White House garden.
The celebration program faltered after six of the nine artists who intended to perform at the Kennedy Center withdrew, before the event was politicized.
