Infrastructure projects constitute 46.6% of Ajman government purchases in the first quarter

Ajman, June 7, 2026: Infrastructure projects accounted for 46.6% of government purchases in Ajman during the first quarter of 2026, as part of the efforts of the Department of Finance aimed at supporting the economic development process in the emirate, and promoting effective and sustainable partnerships with the private sector.
In this context, the Department of Finance in Ajman continues to enhance the efficiency of the government procurement system, and consolidate the principles of transparency and governance, through the “Tawreed” platform, which contributes to organizing the relationship between suppliers and government agencies, speeding up procedures, and ensuring that processes are documented in accordance with the highest standards of compliance.
During the first quarter of 2026, the department completed 900 requests to register, renew and update supplier data, while renewal requests amounted to 72% of the total requests, reflecting the private sector’s confidence in the government procurement system in the emirate.
Government procurement also recorded 353 purchase orders across more than 12 vital sectors, so that the “Tawreed” platform continues its role in enhancing the efficiency of procedures and developing the government procurement system.
