A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hits the Russian Kuril Islands

Today, Thursday, an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck the Pacific Ocean, northwest of the Kuril Islands located in Russia.
The US Geological Survey indicated that the earthquake occurred in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 338.9 kilometers.

Months ago, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck the islands.
The earthquake occurred at that time in the Pacific Ocean, 467.6 km west of the city of Kurilsk, at a depth of 23 km.

Last year, the Unified Geophysical Authority of the Russian Academy of Sciences also announced that an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale struck the region of the Russian Kuril Islands.
At that time, it was reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 66 kilometers, and 123 kilometers southeast of Iturup Island.
