During distance learning… 3 situations that require parents to communicate with the school

The Ministry of Education has identified three main cases that require parents to communicate with the school, to ensure the continuation of the remote educational process efficiently, and to overcome any challenges that students may encounter during this stage.
Direct effect
The Ministry clarified within the “Parents’ Guide to Distance Learning” in the third semester of the current academic year 2025-2026, the details of which were reviewed by Emirates Today, that parents must take the initiative to communicate with school administrations in the event that children are unable to attend classes via distance learning platforms, because this has a direct impact on their academic regularity and their comprehension of academic curricula.
Technical difficulties
She stressed the importance of communication when a family faces technical difficulties that prevent them from accessing educational platforms or benefiting from their services, ensuring that technical problems are quickly addressed and do not accumulate.
Additional educational support
She added that among the cases that also require communication, students need additional educational support, whether to enhance their understanding of academic content or to keep pace with digital learning requirements, stressing that this type of support contributes to bridging educational gaps and improving learning outcomes.
Emergency situations
In a related context, the guide emphasized that communication with the school should not be limited to emergency or exceptional cases, but rather it should be a continuous approach that reflects an effective partnership between the family and the educational institution, in a way that supports the children’s educational journey and enhances their chances of success.
Continuous cooperation
He pointed out that continuous cooperation between parents and schools represents an essential pillar in building an integrated educational environment, capable of adapting to modern learning patterns, and ensuring efficient continuity of learning during periods of distance education, in order to achieve the best educational results for students.
