Conclusion of the 2024 Saudi International Medical Education Conference at Jazan University

The sessions and workshops included several topics, including interprofessional education for collaborative practice, background and theory, challenges and opportunities in implementing collaborative practice among health professions, in addition to presenting the model of interprofessional cooperation in health education in the field of endocrine surgery, and effective strategies to enhance cooperation between health professions in the educational environment. Effective feedback methods in health education, and the balance in student evaluation between objectivity and subjectivity in the age of artificial intelligence.
The closing session of the conference also included two working papers on the extent to which global health can be integrated into health professions education curricula, and future trends in evaluation, in addition to an interactive panel discussion that brought together speakers to discuss the most prominent issues raised and the most important recommendations that were made.

Jazan University’s implementation of the eighth Saudi International Conference for Medical Education in its eighth edition comes as part of the university’s efforts to enhance cooperation between health professions and develop medical education strategies to keep pace with global developments, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
