Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa: UAE boats have chances to compete in the Formula 1 World Cup

ABU DHABI, December 7, 2017 – Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation, confirmed that the participation of the Emirati speedboat teams, represented by Sharjah, Victory, and Abu Dhabi, in the final round of the Formula 1 World Boat Championship tomorrow in Sharjah highlights the spirit of Challenge, competition and ambition.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan praised the exceptional organization provided by the Sharjah Tourism and Commerce Development Authority in hosting the final round, stressing that Sharjah has once again proven its leadership as a global sports destination capable of organizing major events with high efficiency and professionalism.
He added that the Emirate of Sharjah is not only a sports destination, but it is also a beacon of tourism and culture, and that organizing major events contributes to enhancing its global presence, attracting attention to its great potential, and promoting tourism through sports.
He pointed to the chances of the Sharjah team in competing for the Formula 1 World Championship title this season, given its distinguished performance throughout the season led by racer Roast Witt. He also praised the Victory team and its ambition to reach second place in the overall standings, stressing that this achievement will be evidence. In addition to the strength of UAE marine sports and its ability to compete at the highest international levels.
